Friday, 10 April: The world of Class 1 is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of former racer, Jose Corti, who was tragically killed in a boating accident on Lake Iseo in Italy, yesterday.

IOTA General Secretary, Marco Sala, said, "It is simply tragic news. We have lost a very good friend, and I speak for the whole of Class 1 in extending our deepest sympathies to Jose’s family."
